Sunny Grove, our state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care community in Thomasville, Georgia, is seeking Cook/Preps to join our team. As a Cook/Prep, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes Ensure that all meals are served on time and at the appropriate temperature Assist in the planning and development of menus in collaboration with the Dietary Manager Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures, including storage, labeling, and rotation of food items Monitor and maintain inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of residents Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a Cook/Prep, preferably in an assisted living/memory care community or similar setting Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
