Central Sterile Supply Tech - Main OR, Evenings
JOB PURPOSE:
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, duties may include, but are not limited to, assembles and delivers case carts, crash carts and various other emergency carts per established pick lists. Restocks unused, returned supplies, notifies appropriate personnel of low or stocked out supplies. Provide standard customer service practices such as routing issues received by a customer to the appropriate personnel.
Responsibilities:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Case cart preparation according to procedure preference cards.
2. Restocking of unused surgical supplies after completion of procedures.
3. Delivering surgical supplies to procedure areas when requested.
4. Stocking of specialty carts such as Crash carts and Urology carts.
5. Other duties as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
• Skill and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in-writing.
• Skill and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of sterilized equipment and instruments.
• Knowledge of organizing, containing, and transporting items of quantities.
• Knowledge of transporting and disposing of hazardous materials and sharp objects according to hospital procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures of various equipment and instruments.
• Skill in following written instructions and performing multiple tasks.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
• Skill and ability in basic computer skills.

Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of three months experience working in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
• Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds, ambulate, reach, bend, sit, squat, and stand frequently.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
