Title Clerk
Position Summary
PowerHouse Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk to support our dealership operations. This role is responsible for processing vehicle title and registration paperwork accurately and in compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process documents for state registration, ensuring all required tax and title paperwork is completed accurately and timely
Process all payoffs and registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles
Handle license plate issuing, transfers, and obtain dealer titles
Send bills, contracts, warranties, and service contracts to the appropriate agencies, including the Department of Motor Vehicles
Review all documents for completeness, accuracy, and required signatures
Verify vehicle sale and purchase prices for accuracy
Maintain organized files for sales, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts, and other documentation related to vehicle sales or transfers
Maintain titles and MSOs for inventory
Prepare title work for sold vehicles and submit to DMV
Enter used vehicle purchases into inventory systems
Work closely with sales, finance, accounting, and management teams to resolve title-related issues
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Automotive dealership experience preferred
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Willingness to take initiative and continuously improve processes
Strong computer skills with quality writing and grammar abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees
Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
