Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Network Architect to design, implement, and optimize our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliability, scalability, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop strategic network solutions that support business objectives.

This role focuses on designing local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices within a medium to large enterprise environment. The candidate will also be responsible for datacenter network design and implementing security measures based on audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define network architecture objectives.
• Design end-to-end network solutions aligned with business needs and future growth.
• Create detailed network architecture diagrams, documentation, and specifications for design plans and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and protocols to improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Lead the implementation and configuration of network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Design and enforce network security measures such as access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization to ensure high availability and uptime.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting networks and 4+ years designing LAN/WAN networks in medium to large environments.
• Proven track record as a Network Architect or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Expertise in enterprise network infrastructure design and management.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs.
• Experience with network hardware/software such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Arista.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent).
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP, JNCIP, CISSP.
