Position Summary

The Learning and Organizational Development Assistant will provide admin support around the design, development, implementation of all training needed within Educational Services. This L&OD Assistant will ensure that all health care professionals have the proper certification, license, or credentialing that aligns to the needs of SGMC Health. The assistant will work in collaboration with the SGMC Competency Coordinator who will be maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies as related to competency and training initiatives at all SGMC facilities. This assistant will also assist in identifying and facilitating the organization’s training and development needs with other staff members within the department.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communication, or related field required.
  • Experience in data management with ability to create and analyze reports utilizing various data management systems
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
  • Communication proficiency both written and verbal
  • Ability to plan, implement and tracks education strategies and competencies for departments within the organization
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people within the organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to investigate and identify discrepancies between data reported and customer feedback
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of educational competency guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance of all regulatory agencies

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer requiring dexterity of hands. Must be able to read written data and enter it into the computer. Frequently required to lift and/or move boxes of files up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to communicate on the telephone. Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
