This per diem school-based position in La Fayette, GA offers the opportunity to support students academic, behavioral, and social development through personalized assistance in a school environment. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering individualized academic, behavioral, and social support
• Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Helping maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB test requirements per district guidelines
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Background in special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, including autism or behavioral challenges
• Certifications or experience with CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a plus
