Worship Leader

Overview
New City Church exists to glorify God by making disciples who change the world around them. Our mission is to exalt Jesus above all things, equip the church for ministry, and engage our community and world with the gospel. We are currently seeking a part-time worship leader to serve in our worship ministry. New City was planted in October of 2010 in Alma, Georgia. In the 15 years of our existence, God has both saved the lost and strengthened the saved. Our prayer is that He continues to do that for many years to come. As we look to this next chapter as a church, we’re praying that God uses this season to bring both revival to our church and renewal to our city.

dQualifications
· Has a growing relationship with Jesus.
· Exhibits growing characteristics that can be found in a pastor/elder as seen in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
· Prioritizes leading family well over other work.
· Agrees with our church’s purpose, mission, values, and statement of faith.
· Desires to develop, lead, and facilitate the worship ministry.
· Interested in ministry in a small-town environment and church revitalization.
· Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
· Prior experience required (including experience leading a worship band).

Skills
· Able to sing and play guitar and/or piano/keyboard to lead worship.
· Able to lead worship both independently and with a band.
· Knowledge of updated audio/visual technology (ProPresenter, editing/uploading sermon recordings, sound board, in-ear monitors, etc.).

Expectations
· Oversee and develop the worship ministry.
– Lead Sunday morning worship
– Lead any other special service as needed and able.
– Lead worship with reverence, celebration, passion, and excellence.
– Organize, attend, and lead worship rehearsals.
– Prepare and manage ProPresenter and sound components for the worship service.
– Lead the church in singing biblically accurate, congregational songs from sound songwriters, bands, or churches.
– Edit and upload sermon audio recordings.
· Other Ministries
– Ensure that family comes before ministry.
– Have a servant’s heart to help serve in other capacities as able.

Salary
The salary for this part-time position is $10,000-$14,000 per year depending on experience. This includes a $50/month cell phone stipend and 403b retirement contributions (if desired).
