Executive Pastor - Discipleship/Administration
Position: Executive Pastor
Reports To: Senior Pastor
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Executive Pastor serves as a key leadership advisor to the Senior Pastor, providing strategic oversight of the church’s discipleship ministries and administrative operations. This role is primarily focused on discipleship and ministry development (approximately 75%), while also providing leadership in church administration, finances, and organizational management (approximately 25%). The Executive Pastor oversees the church’s day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals. Working closely with the Senior Pastor, staff, and congregation, the Executive Pastor helps shape and implement effective ministry initiatives, manages budgets and policies, and fosters a culture of excellence, spiritual growth, operational efficiency, and ministry effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Discipleship Ministries (75%)
● Provide vision and leadership for all discipleship ministries, including small groups and spiritual formation.
● Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy.
● Recruit, train, coach, and support ministry leaders and volunteers.
● Ensure discipleship ministries align with the church’s mission, theology, and values.
● Lead training opportunities as assigned.
● Teaching and preaching opportunities assigned by pastor.
● Other duties as assigned by Pastor.
Administration (25%)
● Support administrative systems and church operations.
● Assist with staff leadership, coordination, and accountability.
● Administrative oversight in budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
● Help ensure ministries operate with clarity, organization, and effectiveness.
● Evaluate ministry effectiveness and implement improvements.
Qualifications
● A growing, mature relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to pastoral ministry.
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar ministry role.
● Bachelor’s degree required (ministry or related field preferred).
● Experience in small group ministries is a plus.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
● Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
● Alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and values.
● Technical knowledge is a considerable plus for live streaming and web design but is not required.
● Other duties as assigned by Pastor.
