We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation support background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex cases, interact with clients, and provide support to our legal team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The Permanent Paralegal will be an integral part of our team, helping us to deliver high-quality legal services to our clients. Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive litigation support, including conducting legal research, drafting documents, and preparing case materials.
2. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
3. Review and organize client records, including medical records, financial records, and other relevant documents.
4. Coordinate with expert witnesses and assist in the preparation of expert reports.
5. Manage document production and discovery processes, including e-discovery.
6. Maintain case files and databases, ensuring all information is current and easily accessible.
7. Monitor case deadlines and ensure all necessary filings are completed in a timely manner.
8. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
9. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to strategize on case management. Qualifications:
1. Experience as a paralegal, with a focus on litigation support.
2. Bachelor’s degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of legal research tools and databases, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
4. Proficiency in e-discovery software and other legal technology.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and data.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal information.
7. Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
