Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific for GA).
• RRT credential preferred; CRT may be considered based on facility requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (preferred).
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary issues.
• Administer aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory treatments.
• Perform and monitor ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP, and emergency airway procedures.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and functioning.
• Respond to rapid response and code blue situations as needed.
