Seeking a Skilled Business & Development Reporter for Our Media Group

The Role
The Hyundai Motor Group is building its Metaplant America in the heart of our coverage area to produce 300,000+ electric vehicles per year when fully operational. Additionally, a dozen more companies have announced they will build plants producing products to directly support the Metaplant. About 14,000 jobs will be created directly related to the Metaplant during the next two to seven years, which will significantly increase the populations of every part of our region. Covering and helping cover every aspect of the economic impact stemming from the Metaplant will be the major focus of our Business & Development writer.

Also, the reporter will work with editors at each property in coverage of business and development stories that are specific to that property.

Responsibilities
• Research, analyze and report on business and development topics with accuracy and depth.
• Interview industry experts, entrepreneurs and thought leaders to gather insights and perspectives.
• Create engaging, well-researched articles that resonate with our audience across various platforms.
• Work with the editors at each of our publications and as a group in developing local and regional coverage strategies.

What We’re Looking For
• Strong writing skills and an ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging narratives.
• Proven experience in business or development writing, preferably within a journalistic or editorial setting.
• A keen interest in staying updated with industry trends and economic shifts in the region.
