Position: Shift Lead
Department: Production – 2A (Heat Shields)
Functional Area: Production – 2A ( Heat Shields)
Classification : Non-Exempt Exempt
Reporting Structure: Manufacturing Supervisor
Educational Background Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Skills, Training, Experience, Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to details
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good working knowledge of computers.
Job Content: Essential Functions Required for Job
- Coordinates and oversee production operators within cell.
- Reports output of cells in reference to the requirements from SAP.
- Trains operators on their operations.
- Coordinating and prestaging tools and materials for changeover.
- Responsible for organization and cleanliness in their area while maintaining 5S.
- Responsible for material flow (pre-preparation of material, material movements)
- Responsible for overseeing correct scrap removal.
- Responsible for reporting any deviations (material consumptions, quantity of operators, piece counts.
- Ensures that all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 policies are adhered to.
- Performs other related duties assigned.
