Position: Shift Lead

Department: Production – 2A (Heat Shields)

Functional Area: Production – 2A ( Heat Shields)

Classification : Non-Exempt Exempt

Reporting Structure: Manufacturing Supervisor

Educational Background Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Skills, Training, Experience, Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to details
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good working knowledge of computers.

Job Content: Essential Functions Required for Job

• Coordinates and oversee production operators within cell.
• Reports output of cells in reference to the requirements from SAP.
• Trains operators on their operations.
• Coordinating and prestaging tools and materials for changeover.
• Responsible for organization and cleanliness in their area while maintaining 5S.
• Responsible for material flow (pre-preparation of material, material movements)
• Responsible for overseeing correct scrap removal.
• Responsible for reporting any deviations (material consumptions, quantity of operators, piece counts.
• Ensures that all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 policies are adhered to.
• Performs other related duties assigned.
