Job Description

The Driver Recruiter should be proficient in applicant tracking system (Tenstreet), have an understanding of the company vision statement, knowledge of FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations. Present self in a professional, knowledgeable authority figure representing the company values and goals.

Perform work as outlined in repair order with efficiency and accuracy

• Determine staffing needs – as provided by operations
• • Domicile location
  • Pay – expectation of weekly pay / Miles expected to meet monetary goal
  • Fleet – Van, Carbon Black, Cont. Move
  • Hometime
• Screen applications to ensure they meet company SOP, Driver risk Evaluation
• • Provided by Onboarding
  • MVR, CDLIS, SSN verification, clearinghouse
  • Experience level 24 months minimum
  • VOE’s
• Initial phone call to applicant (Key points)
• • Able to communicate effectively? Two way conversation about company needs
  • Provide all information available about the position, travel areas, hometime, pay
  • Educate applicant on Volume’s background, why we are different
  • Determine that driver is looking for long term employment, value company and customer needs
• If driver is qualified and accepts position
• • Collect pictures of CDL, SS card, Medical Card and long form
  • Determine class date
  • Drug Screen location and day
  • Car rental
  • Send information to onboarding for DQ file / arrangements
• And any and all other duties, as assigned, needed to help drive to our Vision Statement, fulfill our Mission Statement, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
