Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and other laundry items used during audit events, team lodging, and field office setups are cleaned, folded, and maintained to high standards. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the comfort and well-being of the audit team by providing clean and fresh laundry for use during events and stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and staff uniforms according to established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order
- Monitor laundry inventory, ensuring an adequate supply of clean linens and supplies for team use
- Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or wear, and report any issues to the appropriate staff for further action
- Ensure that laundry equipment, such as washers and dryers, is regularly maintained and report any malfunctioning equipment for repairs
- Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling laundry and cleaning products, ensuring proper handling of hazardous chemicals
- Collaborate with housekeeping and hospitality teams to ensure that laundry needs are met according to event schedules and team requirements
- Ensure that all laundry items are delivered to the appropriate locations in a timely and organized manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a laundry attendant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to follow instructions and work with various cleaning agents and laundry equipment
- Physical stamina to lift and carry laundry items and operate laundry machinery
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in handling cleaning products and laundry
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays based on event schedules
