Salary: $70,000 neg

Field Manager/Chief Craftsman position is 100% field oriented, working with the crews to produce high quality projects completed on time. Computer skills are required with Microsoft Office experience. Extensive hardscape and drainage experience required.

Roots(Main responsibilities)

• Hire, train, and lead all Install field teams to include OLL and ENH and H2B employees.

• Hit timelines and follow through on commitments to clients.

• Responsible for 5-star quality and meeting productivity on each project for the Install Division.

Measurables

• Google Reviews- Responsible for asking and receiving 5-star google reviews monthly

• Hours-Meet goal hours on each job in ENH/OLL

• Safety- Complete 3 safety audits per week

Job Flow

• Completes pre-job walk with LA.

• LA determines plan with Chief including trash disposal and sub and LA enters plan into Work Order in LMN.

• Communicates plan to coordinator for materials/dumpster/sub/equipment scheduling.

• Starts job with crew. Informing Lead Craftsman of:

• • Full scope of project and full job plan with day-to-day details and total hours of job.

• • Design plan

• Job start checklists are completed before job starts by Chief and Lead.

• Picks up and returns necessary equipment for crews.

• Follows the predetermined plan for the job.

• Once job begins, in charge of daily communication with the sub to job completion.

• Materials:

• • In charge of making sure materials are correct at job start.

• • Communicates with vendors if materials/dumpsters are not delivered or additional materials are needed.

• • Moves materials date changes on the LMN schedule

• • Picks up missed/additional material for crews.

• • In charge of returning all extra materials to vendor at end of job.

• • Calls for vendor pick ups

• • Only bring back to shop non-returnable items and immediately place in designated areas.

• Works onsite with the crew to increase productivity.

• If client wants to make changes or additions, sends an email to the LA for creation and approval before proceeding.

• Reviews job daily onsite with crew for quality and efficiency-hours.

• Keeps crew on the same job until job completion or approved by the LA to move to another one.

• Ensures crews are taking pictures and reporting daily progress in Company Cam.

• Completes punch list and final walk with client and LA.

• Completes Punchlist in Company Cam

• Completes job closing checklist in Company Cam

• In charge of ensuring safe working environment for field teams.

• Trains team in safe and proper operation of equipment, trucks and machinery.

• Responsible for all shop materials/equipment/dumpster/irrigation supplies.

• • Any extra materials at shop should be returned to vendor immediately.

• • All materials should be placed in designated areas only.

Daily Morning Routine

• 6:15-Chief arrives at shop

• Lead team circle

• Approve timesheets before crews roll out

• 7am-OLL/ENH rollout-all teams out

Daily Afternoon routine

• Attends daily 3pm call with LA/Operations Manager

• Communicates with each crew before meeting for job progress and hours

• Check each job to make sure pictures/notes are in Company Cam.

**Must pass drug test, background check, E-Verify and have a clean driving record to be considered for position.
