Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with over three years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, and fabricating skills to maintain production equipment in reliable repair. You will be working in a fast-paced 24/7 production facility, ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical equipment and motor control systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Utilize hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, forklifts, hand tools, and power tools.
• Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
• Submit part orders and repair reports efficiently and effectively.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools and metering equipment.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment.

• Troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
• PLC troubleshooting experience, particularly with Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
• Strong electrical or mechanical skills depending on specific role.
• Ability to work safely within an industrial maintenance environment.

• Familiarity with printing presses, gluers, formers, gears, and rollers.
• Slight welding ability (MIG, TIG, Stick) for mechanically inclined candidates.
• Root cause analysis understanding for electrically inclined candidates.
• Experience with limit switches and reading electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with ladder logic.
• Ability to bring own tools and work well in a team environment.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled and clean, providing a comfortable work setting. Technicians must be able to work either an 8 or 12-hour shift. The mechanically inclined technician will work on the 3rd shift from 6pm to 6am, while the electrically inclined technician will work on the 1st shift from 6am to 6pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stone Mountain, GA.

The pay range for this position is $31.06 - $31.06/hr.
