A respected public accounting firm in the Atlanta market is seeking a dynamic Tax Senior Associate to join its growing Tax team. The Tax Senior Associate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic tax guidance, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality tax compliance and planning services. The firm serves clients across a variety of industries including manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing, and professional services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical tax reviews and assist with governmental tax examinations as assigned by leadership
  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings
  • Serve as a resource to junior tax staff and audit/business assurance team members on tax-related matters
  • Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams while managing deadlines and deliverables
  • Participate in client meetings, tax planning initiatives, and consulting engagements
  • Assist the audit/business assurance department on larger engagements when needed
  • Apply a consultative approach by identifying client needs and recommending strategic solutions

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience preparing corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary tax returns within public accounting
  • At least 1 year of experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's in Taxation preferred
  • Active CPA license highly preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or similar tax software preferred
  • Strong client service mindset and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
