Job DescriptionCornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Transportation Fleet Supervisor to lead with innovation and drive best practices within our Apertures business unit and Lithia Springs manufacturing facility. This role supports a private fleet network located locally and opoerating across the United States. The position works closely with local operations to enhance safety, streamline logistics, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience.
The Transportation Fleet Supervisor will play a critical role in developing and implementing forward-thinking fleet management concepts while supporting daily operational needs. Reporting to the Fleet Manager for the Apertures division, this position combines strategy and hands-on leadership to achieve meaningful results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and enforce fleet safety standards, policies, and programs to create a culture of safe and compliant operation
- Work collaboratively with location managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure full fleet compliance
- Oversee procurement and movement of fleet assets across the organization
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including US DOT requirements
- Manage operational and financial data collection for reporting and regulatory filings
- Lead projects focused on designing and implementing future logistics network strategies
- Develop solutions to improve operational efficiency and ensure successful deployment with operations teams
- Address customer challenges by implementing innovative logistics solutions and identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships
- Improve fleet performance through cooperative safety programs, training, and proactive initiatives
- Actively participate in driver retention and recruitment efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
- Support other fleet initiatives and responsibilities as assigned
- At least five years of experience in fleet safety, compliance, and multi-site fleet operations, with two years in a leadership role
- Experience in fleet management, distribution, cross-docking, and regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, materials management, and inventory control
- Proven ability to analyze business operations and implement strategic improvements
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving continuous improvement
- Resilient and adaptable with a positive and energetic attitude
