Local Transportation Company in Savannah is searching for experienced Jockey Drivers . The primary responsibility of this position is to safely operate Jockey trucks to switch empty and full trailers and containers to and from shipping and receiving dock and yard.

Responsibilities:

• Promptly performs pulls and plugs of on-yard equipment.
• Opens container and trailer doors, places and sets seals.
• Makes sure that safety chocks are in place during loading process, are removed for return to parking area, and then replaced while trailer is parked. Places and removes jack stands as required.
• Complies with all safety and security measures.
• Locates and records equipment data upon request.
• Assists the Traffic Area Manager / Transportation Manager as required when not jockeying trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we look for:

• Strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to back up without issues
• At least 18 months of Jockey Truck experience VERIFIABLE
• TWIC card is NOT required
• Schedule depends on available shift – 1st; 2nd or 3rd
