As an Associate Producer, you will be involved in all aspects of daily show production, including studio operations, editorial support, research, writing, booking, and post-production. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ensure cameras, microphones, lighting, and other equipment are properly set and functioning

  • Test connectivity and communication with the remote control room and engineering teams

  • Maintain a clean, organized studio environment and reset the studio after each taping

  • Serve as the on-site liaison between the studio and remote production and engineering staff

Research & Editorial Preparation

  • Conduct in-depth research on crime stories, legal cases, and guests

  • File and manage FOIA requests as needed for editorial reporting

  • Hunt down images, videos, and background information across all major social media platforms

  • Maintain strong organization of research materials, media assets, and program notes

  • Archive program notes and materials at the conclusion of each show

Post-Production & Editing

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Prior experience in news, talk, or crime-focused programming

  • Experience working in a studio or live production environment
