About Our Family:

We are a busy, warm family with two children, ages 9 and 8. Our household is full of energy, and we're seeking someone who can help us manage daily routines, bring organization to our home, and assist with household responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who can bring calm, structure, and reliability to our home, helping to create a stable environment for our energetic and active children. Our home is currently undergoing a remodel, and we're looking for someone who can help us create and maintain systems to ensure everything runs smoothly. This includes managing household tasks, organizing spaces, and assisting with meal preparation. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is able to step in and manage a wide variety of tasks with minimal direction.

We value open communication, trust, and collaboration, and we want to find someone who feels like a true extension of our family. This role will include a mix of childcare, household management, and personal assistance, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to the needs of the day will be key.

We're seeking a team player who can handle a fast-paced environment, engage with the kids, and contribute to a positive, organized, and efficient household.

Who You Are

You're the kind of person who loves walking into a busy home, seeing what needs to happen, and making it all run smoother—without needing to be told every step. You take real ownership of the day-to-day: meals, errands, home resets, vendor coordination, and the little details that save someone hours each week. You're organized, dependable, and you follow things all the way through—from idea to done.

You're also great at working with someone who has a lot going on and can get pulled in different directions. You help keep things moving, bring simple solutions, and know how to be clear and firm when needed—while still being kind and respectful (“strong with a velvet glove”). You're confident working independently, but you're also a team player and can collaborate with existing support during a transition.

This role is a great fit for you if you:

  • Take initiative naturally and don't wait to be asked
  • Own the details and love keeping a home organized and on track
  • Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally
  • Are positive, steady, and self-sufficient
  • Enjoy simple, healthy meal prep and batch cooking
  • Like being active and engaging with school-aged kids (play, sports, routines, light homework)
  • Welcome feedback and adjust easily
  • Are tech-comfortable with calendars, lists, reminders, and coordinating vendors

Key Responsibilities:

  • Household Management & Organization:
    • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys) develop
    • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure hope is prepped for cleaning services
    • Oversee household schedules and calendars
    • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
    • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
    • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
    • Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (e.g., handymen, cleaners, landscapers, pool maintenance)
    • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Inventory Management & Errands:
    • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
    • Create and manage running household supply lists
    • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
    • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, occasional dry cleaning, gift shopping, clothes shopping
    • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Meal Preparation (3 nights/week):
    • Meal Plan and prepare nutritious dinners and snacks for both adults and children, up to 3 times per week.
    • Batch-cook simple, nutritious meals about 3 times per week to cover multiple days
    • Grocery shop for all meal-related items and keep the kitchen stocked
    • Follow family food preferences with a focus on healthy, simple, protein-forward meals with vegetables and balanced carbs
    • Clean up after meal prep and maintain an organized, tidy kitchen
  • Laundry & Linen Care:
    • Wash, dry, fold, and organize household laundry, including clothing, bedding, and towels
    • Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed
    • Manage linens by rotating bedding, refreshing towels, and restocking essentials
    • Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies
  • Vehicle Management:
    • Schedule reminders maintenance, oil changes, and inspections
    • Ensure vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and organized
    • Track registration, insurance, and service schedules
  • Vendor & Property Oversight
    • Schedule, coordinate, and oversee household service providers (cleaners, contractors, landscapers, etc.)
    • Research repair and maintenance needs, gather quotes, and help coordinate next steps
    • Act as the main point of contact for household vendors and service professionals
  • Family Support & Child Assistance
    • Provide light supervision, playtime, and occasional back-up childcare as needed
    • Support the children with preparing backpacks, clothing, or snacks for school
    • Assist with child-related laundry and occasional errands
