Territory Business Manager (Outside Sales-Distribution)
Salary:
Full commissioned role with a draw ($80K, with $120-$150K total) with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid vacation, holidays, and sick days; profit-sharing bonus plan; retirement/401k; and an employee stock ownership plan.
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Business Manager to oversee an assigned sales territory, drive revenue growth through existing account management, and aggressively pursue new commercial and residential business opportunities. This role requires a proactive sales approach, strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of an assigned sales territory, including account development, retention, and growth
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and trade partners
- Assist customers with product selection, specifications, and order fulfillment
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales reporting
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
- Strong understanding of customer service excellence
- Self-starter with high motivation and accountability, able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and CRM systems
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial sales and/or specification sales experience
- Experience in B2B sales environments
- Ability to manage complex pricing structures and large product catalogs
- Flooring industry experience strongly preferred
