Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist;Internal Medicine
Description
This on-site, contract position is located in the beautiful city of Savannah and offers an excellent opportunity for medical professionals seeking a dynamic work environment.
As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital setting. Your expertise will directly impact the health outcomes of patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive and timely medical attention.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans
- Participate in hospital rounds and clinical meetings
- Stay current with medical best practices and hospital protocols
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state
- Previous experience in internal medicine or hospitalist roles preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Level III Trauma
Schedule: 7a-7p, 8a-8p, or 7p-7a
No call requirement
190 beds
Admission Volume: 12-18 per day, 12-20 per night
Consult Volume: 1-5 per day
Must round in the ICU
Procedures are required
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
