Tax Preparer, Accountant

We're looking for a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our close-knit team in Commerce, GA group that's been working together for over 52 years. Our firm provides a wide range of services for our small business clients, including tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial consulting. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns
• Review and prepare financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenditures
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and current tax laws
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data security protocols
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations

What We're Looking For:

• Prior experience in tax preparation (4-5 years preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, Excellent customer service, and communication skills
• Familiarity with tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, or similar)
• Commitment to data security and client confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
