Project Manager (Highway Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team for a Highway Construction Project in Atlanta, Georgia.

-Project:  Highway Construction

-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Summary:  we are seeking a senior-level professional to lead the execution of a major highway or infrastructure project in the United States. The selected candidate will oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, cost control, quality assurance, safety, and coordination with clients and stakeholders. This role demands proven leadership and technical expertise in large-scale civil works, particularly in highways, expressways, or P3/concession projects.

-Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all phases of the project, from mobilization to completion, ensuring compliance with design, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
• Manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals efficiently.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Represent the company in meetings with clients, partners, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. construction standards, safety regulations, and environmental procedures.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on site.

-Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• A Minimum of 8 years of experience as Project Manager in highway, roadway, heavy civil construction projects or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in P3 (Public-Private Partnership) or concession projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Familiarity with U.S. DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements and procedures.

-Working Hours:  Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly (9 hours daily, one hour for lunch break).
