Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing mobile applications for the Android platform, as well as a passion for creating user-friendly and visually appealing apps. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop mobile applications for the Android platform - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features - Maintain and improve existing applications - Perform code reviews and ensure code quality and best practices - Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code - Continuously improve the user experience of our applications - Work with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - 2+ years of experience in Android app development - Strong knowledge of Java and the Android SDK - Experience with third-party libraries and APIs - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Experience with version control systems such as Git - Experience with cross-platform development tools such as React Native or Flutter is a plus Contract Details: This is a part-time contract position with the potential for full-time employment in the future. The working hours and schedule can be flexible to accommodate the candidate's availability. The contract will be for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. Location: The position is based in Decatur, GA, but remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
