Legal Assistant
Location: Griffin, GA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Legal Assistant to support a small law firm in Griffin, GA . The ideal candidate will have legal experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. This role requires someone who can work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with case management and preparation litigation.
- Organize and maintain case files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather necessary documentation.
- Draft simple legal documents and correspondence as needed.
- Utilize technology for scheduling appointments and managing the attorney’s calendar.
- Communicate empathetically with clients and other stakeholders.
- Perform administrative tasks, including filing and scanning documents to support office operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant legal training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a legal office is preferred, in medical malpractice or personal injury law.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic legal software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and client interaction.
- Ability to work independently in a small office environment.
- Work directly with a dedicated attorney in a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
