Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate III is primarily responsible for mid-level Warehouse activities such as moving a significant number of parts for orders, resolving inventory discrepancies, and backup support in departments other than the one assigned. The position requires the regular use of computer systems, including internal and external communications. Associate is responsible for ensuring that departmental production, quality, and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The essential functions of this job position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and duties an employee encounters while performing this job.   • Model DISH Manufacturing and Distribution Values and Behaviors
  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site, including but not limited to, the plant, yard, and/or inside the building
  • Lift, move, open, and stage individual product depending on the necessary work for the day
  • Open a significant number of boxes per day and review required documentation on the outside of each box, as well as verify material part numbers and quantities upon receipt
  • Label received or transferred material and/or consolidate material, as well as operate a pallet jack while palletizing and removing empty boxes and/or foam containers from the receiving area
  • Ensure and maintain a clean and safe work place, including but not limited to dock areas, forklift, and trailers
  • Palletize material and prepare for transfer/shipping, including but not limited to wrapping pallets, scanning product labels, and ensuring product is stacked appropriately
  • Follow first in, first out (FIFO) material usage, movement, and sorting as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment, which includes but is not limited to sweeping and removing trash/debris
  • Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for procedures
  • Store and distribute supplies and equipment as required
  • Maintain inventory and stock records while performing work as required
  • Adhere to established safety, quality, and performance standards while meeting department accuracy standards
  • Effectively interact with and speak to all levels of organizational staff, customers, and company personnel while maintaining professionalism
  • Report to work on-site on a regular, predictable and timely basis
  • Work variable shifts including nights, holidays and weekends
  • Meet all of DISH’s performance expectations, including but not limited to, satisfying all applicable metrics, productivity standards, goals, and increased proficiencies related to overall performance
  • The employee frequently is required to mobilize around the work area, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, and standing for long periods of time
  • The employee must have the ability to lift up to 45 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • The employee must have the ability to use a computer mouse, keyboard, and other office equipment typically found in a manufacturing or warehouse environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to customers and other employees and hear speech from customers and other employees
  • The employee will need to regularly interact and communicate with others, including but not limited to, face to face communications, over the phone communications, and chat messaging communications. The employee must be able to comprehend the subject of the communication and take appropriate action, if necessary
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, read and interpret, documents and instructions; frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a technology environment
  • Other essential job functions may be assigned by DISH in its discretion and are subject to change at any time
  • Work environment is a warehouse with conditions including but not limited to no climate control and increased levels of dust
  • While performing the duties and essential functions of this job, the employee is exposed to computer equipment and noise levels of a typical manufacturing/warehouse work environment, with the requisite level of noise associated with 100 or more employees working in the same physical location
Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • DISH Forklift Certification required where applicable
  • Successful performance as a Warehouse Associate II or lateral move from another department
  • Meets required certifications based on career ladder level
  • Be proficient with Windows 7 or higher operating system
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Draw and interpret bar graphs and diagrams
  • Understand and interpret reports that include rate, ratio, and percent

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Read and interpret documents such as operating/maintenance/procedure instructions and safety rules
  • Write routine reports and business correspondence
  • Speak effectively before customers or employees of the organization whether individually or in groups
  • Occasionally operate multiple computer applications
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, written/oral communication, and customer service skills

Compensation: $19.31/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
