Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in tandem with physicians or autonomously (per credentialing)
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding wellness, preventative care, and health management
• Prescribing medications and therapies appropriate to your practice scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive and comprehensive healthcare
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certification Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Georgia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to attain these within 90 days)
