We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Wastewater Lead who will lead and deliver projects with key municipal clients. As Wastewater Lead, you will leverage your project management, technical experience, and leadership skills to optimize the delivery team’s performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients. You'll work on infrastructure projects, evaluating and selecting the best treatment approach to solve a client’s challenges, along with planning and designing treatment systems and plant improvements. Jacobs’ South Atlantic water practice has more than 400 high-performing individuals delivering innovative solutions to top-tier clients. The Wastewater Lead role is based in our Atlanta, GA, office and will support projects across Georgia and the Southeast region with opportunities to engage in projects throughout North America and across the globe. You will engage in a variety of project assignments – including many of the largest water infrastructure projects in the Southeast – and serve our municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Lead the project management and technical delivery of projects through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
- Support Jacobs’ One Water initiative, specifically Water Resource Recovery Solutions for the Americas East Region.
- Drive the integration of Digital Water Solutions and Climate Resilience across Jacobs’ Growth & Sales efforts.
- Support the Americas Southeast Geography Water growth strategy in the wastewater practice.
- Contribute to the development of a Water strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
- Identify and participate in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, and verbal presentations consistent with established business development processes.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent by actively coaching/mentoring, sponsoring, and training our people. This includes actively participating in global Communities of Practice to share technical knowledge and lessons learned across offices/regions.
Here's what you'll need
- B.S. or M.S. degree in a related engineering, science, or applicable discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility as an engineer and in engineering consulting leadership roles with Water, Wastewater, and related water projects.
- Strong understanding of technical solutions and project delivery, and a proven history of leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and technical problem-solving.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work.

170,000.00

Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $170,000.00 to $230,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
