Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia during surgical procedures and monitor patient vital signs
• Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement anesthesia care plans
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative evaluations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures in anesthesiology
• Manage anesthetic complications and respond to emergencies in a timely manner
• Educate patients and their families regarding anesthetic techniques and procedures
• Document all anesthesia-related activities and patient interactions accurately
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education programs

Requirements

• Valid MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) license
• Board certification in Anesthesiology preferred
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in anesthesiology
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Fellowship training in critical care or pain management is a plus

Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Beeper call

Cases: General, busy OB, some neuro, minimal peds

Must be able to lay epidurals and neuro cases

Medical Supervision: 1:4

Must be able to do independent cases as well

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
