Experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic
America's DIY Auto Repair – Douglasville, GA
America's DIY Auto Repair is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing team. We are a unique full-service automotive repair facility that also offers DIY repair bays for customers. We are looking for a dependable, skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Position Overview
The Automotive Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience with drivability concerns, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on cars, SUVs, and light trucks
- Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and HVAC systems
- Complete maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, and fluid services
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly and professionally
- Maintain accurate repair documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with domestic and foreign vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools required
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
