Envelope Conversion Specialist

Compensation Details:

• Initial salary begins at $24/hr with potential for increase based on proficiency; includes relevant evening bonuses.
• Additional compensation: $0.50/hr for afternoon shifts and $1/hr for night shifts.
• Work hours: Evening shift from 3pm to 11pm, night shift 11pm to 7am, and morning shift 7am to 3pm.
• Willingness to engage in any shift as needed, with initial training potentially during morning hours.
• Typical work week: Monday through Friday, with Saturday shifts as the workload necessitates.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepares and fine-tunes converting machinery to operate safely and optimally.
• Responsible for machinery setup, troubleshooting, changeovers, and preventive care.
• Facilitates training, offering additional support and filling in during overtime situations.
• Inspects products to ensure adherence to quality standards; aims to reduce material wastage.
• Observes all safety protocols vigilantly.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A candidate should possess at least a High School diploma or an equivalent credential.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in the envelope sector.
• Exhibits superior mechanical, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics, ruler reading, and fundamental computer tasks.
• Flexibility in adapting to various machine assignments is essential.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Involves consistent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and climbing activities.
• Frequently handle loads up to 55 pounds with cooperative assistance.
• Exposure to production machinery noise and hazardous materials like inks and solvents.
• Must work effectively in temperature extremes and maintain alertness for operating equipment.
• Capability to sustain high-speed processing for the entire shift duration.
