Data Architect

This organization is a design‑forward, boutique flooring brand known for high‑quality, handcrafted products with a strong emphasis on style, premium materials, and distinctive patterns. Historically recognized for luxury wool carpets, the brand has recently expanded its offerings and completed a rebrand to reflect a broader portfolio of high‑end flooring solutions. The company is privately held, backed by private equity, and operating with a clear growth trajectory toward a planned IPO in the near future.

Over the next year, the company is making a significant investment in digital transformation, with a focus on building a modern, cloud‑based data ecosystem to enable deeper business insights and stronger data‑driven decision making. This role will be pivotal in designing and building the foundational data architecture, including data modeling, governance, and reporting capabilities.

The individual in this role will lead the development of a modern data platform in Azure, integrating data from core operational systems, including an AS/400 environment and Salesforce. You will play a hands‑on, strategic role in shaping how data is ingested, modeled, governed, and consumed across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, cloud‑based data architecture
• Build and optimize data models and enterprise data warehouse solutions
• Develop and manage ETL/data pipeline processes
• Establish data governance and reporting foundations
• Partner with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert‑level experience in data architecture and data modeling
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and SQL databases
• Experience designing cloud‑based data solutions
• Proficiency with Python and modern reporting/BI tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calhoun, GA.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $72.12/hr.
