The Opportunity
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Focus on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on the delivery of projects byleading significant portions of a variety of facilities throughout the cycle of design and construction, and startupphases as a technical specialist or lead
- Hands-on involvement in developing reports or technical memos, completing studies, detailed designs, andspecifications, collaborating to complete cost estimates, and preparing contract documents
- Participation in scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration for infrastructure projects is also part of therole, including involvement in business development and preparation of proposals
- Coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects.
- Assist with identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
- Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on less complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs andrequirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs
- Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Assist the Engineering Manager in managing sub-consultants
- Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants
- Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation toclients
- Utilizes knowledge of regularly used civil concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the waterengineering industry
- Applies knowledge to complex projects, find and develop non-standard design solutions to better serve clientsproject specifications
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced engineers
- Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration
- Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Certifications
Professional engineering registration is preferred or in active pursuit
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon managerdiscretion, job performance and work assignments.
- Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safetyhazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions(fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation).
- Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing,keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting orcarrying up to 40 pounds.
