procurement and purchasing coordinator
A Remote Procurement / Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for buying goods and services for a company, managing suppliers, and ensuring everything is delivered on time—while working fully online.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase orders (POs) and track them from request to delivery
Communicate with vendors and suppliers (email, calls, virtual meetings)
Compare prices and negotiate cost-effective deals
Maintain procurement records and update databases
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies when needed
Resolve issues like delayed shipments or incorrect orders
Required Skills
Strong attention to detail
Negotiation and vendor management skills
Organization and time management (especially remote work discipline)
Basic financial and budgeting knowledge
Communication skills (written and verbal)
Data entry and reporting accuracy
Requirements
High school diploma or associate/bachelor's degree (business, supply chain, etc.)
1–2+ years experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative roles
Familiarity with procurement
Remote Work Details
Fully remote or Hybrid
Work with global suppliers across different time zones
Mostly computer-based work (email, systems, reporting)
May require occasional virtual meetings
