Summary: The Universal Banker is a dynamic and customer-focused role, responsible for delivering personalized banking solutions and fostering lasting customer relationships. This position combines elements of both teller and personal banker roles that involves handling account services, processing transactions, and promoting bank products and services to meet customer needs and contribute to branch success.
Specific Job Functions:
- Provide a welcoming and professional customer experience, both in-person and over the phone.
- Proactively identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Research and resolve customer inquiries with care and efficiency.
- Open, maintain, and service various account types, including checking, savings, and certificates of deposit.
- Assist with safe deposit box services.
- Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently by handling cash recyclers, branch capture systems, cash counters, and cash advance equipment.
- Assist customers with online and mobile banking services, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and relevant regulations to include, but are not limited to BSA, CIP, OFAC, and Fair Lending.
- Complete all required training promptly and participate in ongoing development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in banking, customer service, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment with a positive approach
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and reliable organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends and adjust schedules as needed.
- Consistent and dependable attendance is vital to meeting the needs of this role.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position that operates in the Pine Mountain Branch.
Typical days and hours of work are - Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; rotating Saturdays 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Wednesdays would typically be scheduled off for any weeks that Saturday work is required.
Physical Demands and Equipment Used:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, reach, bend, walk or maneuver around the bank and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Must be able to efficiently operate a computer, fax machine, scanner, copier, printer, phone system, and other office equipment.
Travel:
Occasional travel may be required in relation to training opportunities, staff meetings, and when assistance may be needed at other branch locations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
