Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS)
The Recreational Therapist (CTRS) plays a vital role in a 84-bed psychiatric facility, providing individualized recreational therapy to adolescents and adults with mental health or substance issues.
- Evaluates and implements therapeutic recreation programs to enhance physical and mental health.
- Assists patients in achieving optimal performance in leisure and adaptive activities.
- Develops treatment plans with short and long-term goals based on assessments and team input.
- Provides group orientations and plans activities in advance, ensuring effective delivery and scheduling.
- Collaborates with the care team and participates in intern educational programs.
