As the General Store Manager (Scenter Manager), youll be responsible for the overall success of the store, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving membership sales, overseeing staff development, and creating a fun and friendly atmosphere for both dogs and humans. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Building: Lead a team of passionate dog lovers! Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to develop a high-performing, motivated team.
- Sales & Membership Growth: Drive sales through health and wellness education for dog parents. Make every visit count by educating clients on the benefits of routine care and upselling memberships.
- Operations & Performance: Monitor and manage critical KPIs (Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio) to ensure the store meets and exceeds its goals.
- Hands-On Participation: Roll up your sleeves and jump in wherever needed, ensuring dogs are well cared for, and the team stays on track. From handling dogs to assisting with the workflow, you lead by example!
- Customer Service: Be the face of Scenthound! Resolve customer concerns promptly and ensure every client leaves with a smile.
- Safety First: Maintain a safe environment for all team members and dogs, adhering to all Scenthound sanitation and safety standards.
- Staff Development: Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing training, and identify opportunities for growth within the team.
- Operational Efficiency: Create an efficient schedule, ensuring labor optimization while keeping service standards high. Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with both team members and customers.
- Leadership: You can inspire and coach your team to be the best version of themselves.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management skills.
- A natural problem-solver who enjoys creating solutions on the go.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable using scheduling software, POS systems, and other business technologies.
- Hands-on: Youre willing to get involved in all aspects of store operations. Requirements:
- Proven **management experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Customer service experience is a must.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
