Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Dublin, GA within home health where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. You will perform evaluations and develop treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs, communicate progress to the care team and family, and document care according to facility and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
- Active Georgia physical therapy license or Compact licensure required prior to start.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in home health or skilled nursing environments preferred.
- Ability to complete comprehensive evaluations, develop measurable goals, and provide skilled interventions independently.
- Experience with documentation and billing requirements, and knowledge of OASIS preferred but not required.
- Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides in accordance with state practice act.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with HCHB electronic documentation preferred but not required.
- Prior travel therapy experience preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 0800-1700.
- Work Days: Monday through Friday.
- Some weekend work may be required. No holidays or on-call duties required.
- Productivity expectation: approximately 30 points per week (about 5–6 points per day).
- County covered: Laurens County.
- May require mileage reimbursement tracking for travel to patient homes.

Impacting Patient Care
Perform skilled physical therapy evaluations and treatments in patients‘ homes. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to adjust treatment plans and support safe discharge. Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to company, facility, funding source, and regulatory requirements. Adhere to professional practice standards, HIPAA, and corporate compliance. Participate in staff development and maintain required continuing education.
