Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA(Remote). Candidates will design and deliver largescale ETL solutions using Ab Initio while driving data processing across AWS and Hadoop ecosystems.

Rate Range: $57/hour to $59/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing robust ETL solutions using Ab Initio, including metaprogramming, PDL, and reusable frameworks.

• Implementing data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows across AWS services such as S3 and Redshift.

• Working with Hadoop components like Hive, HDFS, and Spark to support large‑scale data processing and analytics.

• Leading DWH and cloud teams by providing technical direction, reviewing solutions, and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

• Identifying technical enablers, estimating effort, and supporting data migration initiatives for cloud applications.

• Coaching team members by sharing best practices and guiding them through complex data engineering tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience in ETL Ab Initio, AWS, and Hadoop.

• Must be capable of working with DWH and cloud teams while contributing to migration and integration initiatives.

• Candidate must demonstrate strong technical and leadership ability to coach team members and support complex data engineering deliverables.

Pay Details: $57.00 to $59.00 per hour
