Position Summary

The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations including recipe development, staff supervision, food safety compliance, inventory management, and large-scale meal prep execution. You’ll work closely with the founder and nutrition team to develop and deliver meals across multiple customer segments — from kids to bodybuilders.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations in a high-volume, pre-scheduled meal prep environment
• Develop menus with macro-balanced, medically tailored, and family-friendly recipes
• Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
• Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff and prep cooks
• Source ingredients, manage supplier relationships, and control food cost margins
• Collaborate with operations/marketing to align production with weekly menus and customer demands
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
• Innovate with seasonal ingredients and diet trends (low-carb, gluten-free, keto, etc.)

Qualifications
• Proven experience as Executive Chef or Head Chef in a commercial kitchen (meal prep or catering experience a plus)
• Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with food packaging, portion control, labeling, and refrigeration logistics
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot with operational needs
• Passion for nutrition, wellness, and customer experience

• Nutrition or dietetics background a plus
• Familiarity with kitchen software (inventory, prep lists, batch scheduling)
• Experience scaling food production (hundreds to thousands of meals/week)
