Diesel Powertrain and Electrical Technician

Role highlights
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Pay: $24 – $35 per hour
- Focus: Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting using schematics; testing, repairing, and verifying to manufacturer regulations.
What you’ll do
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems.
- Use electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose issues quickly and precisely.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals to plan and execute repairs.
- Test equipment, verify performance, and document results.
- Respond to and resolve emergency breakdowns.
What you’ll need
- Strong schematic-reading capability (electrical and hydraulic) — critical for success.
- 2+ years of diesel engine repair experience (preferred).
- Own set of tools; welding experience is helpful but not required.
- Clean Driving Record Required; CDL driver’s license is a plus.
- Hands-on proficiency across: Electrical Systems Diagnostics & Repair; Diesel Engine Systems; Brake & Suspension Systems; Preventive Maintenance & Inspection; Automotive Repair; Engine Repair; Automatic Transmission/Transaxle; Brakes; Electrical/Electronic Systems; Oil Changes.
- Familiarity with ASE Automobile and Light Truck Certification tests is beneficial.
