Sr AP Specialist

Customized solutions are the key to success. The Senior Accounts Specialist is responsible for overseeing accounts payable function within the organization and work closely with the manager. This role requires a high level of expertise in accounts payable processes and the ability to handle complex AP tasks independently and effectively in a fast-paced high-volume environment. The Senior AP Specialist may also provide guidance and support to junior team members, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements. Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day processing of invoices, payments, and vendor management. Handle complex AP tasks and issues, including invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment discrepancies. Prepare and process high-volume payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, or other -payment methods. ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. Collaborate with Supervisor to resolve AP-related issues and improve process efficiency. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations. Ensures compliance with internal policies, accounting principles, and legal requirements. Assists with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support. Collaborate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure proper matching of invoices and purchase orders. Provide guidance to junior AP team members Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities. 2. Strong knowledge of accounts payable and 3-way match process 3. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (SAP.), with advanced skills in MS Excel. 5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex AP issues independently. 7. Must have previous experience working with foreign currency 8. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload effectively.
