Experienced full-time Welder needed in Tallapoosa, Ga for day/night shifts. Responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel components using MIG and/or stick welding while following blueprints and work instructions.
Location: Douglasville, GAJob Shift: Day (6 am-6:30 pm)
Pay Rate: $18hr + Key Duties:
- Set up welding tools and equipment
- Measure, cut, tack, weld, grind, and clean materials
- Read blueprints and weld symbols
- Operate welders, torches, drills, saws, and other shop equipment
- Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean
- Report equipment and keep the work area clean
- Report equipment or quality issues to the supervisor
- Minimum of 6 months of welding experience preferred
- Production welding experience is a plus
- AWS certification helpful but not required
- Ability to pass welding test/ certification
- Basic math and measuring skills required
- Able to work overtime/weekends when needed
- Knowledge of steel alloys, welding material, and fabrication tools preferred
