Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity awaits to join an innovative, community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services organization in South Georgia. Georgia Pines Community Service Board is a public, not-for-profit agency with a $25M annual budget and a diverse team of 300 direct-care and support staff. The selected candidate will provide a wide range of paraprofessional social services to individuals and their families. Responsibilities include conducting intakes, participating in treatment team planning, performing crisis interventions, and assisting with personal and social challenges. The role may also involve supportive counseling, liaison work with social services, and case management duties.

This position is a key part of the JUSDAR program, a behavioral health initiative based in the Colquitt County Jail and reports directly to the Team Lead. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a unique setting.

High school diploma or GED and two years' experience in a social service-related position Or Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field Or One year at the lower level or position equivalent.

Position requires a valid driver's license and must be a Certified Peer Specialist (Applicant must have a mental health diagnosis with a minimum of one year of recovery and have a certificate (CPS) OR become CPS Certified within 6 months).
