Job Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the timely completion of construction projects, making sure they are built in strict adherence to the approved plans and specifications. The Superintendent will manage scheduling for subcontractors and vendors and ensure that their work is completed on time. If any conflicts or changes arise during the project, the Superintendent will work with the project team to resolve them before any work deviates from the original plans. Safety and quality control are essential, and the Superintendent will enforce these standards throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in alignment with project timelines to ensure on-time completion.
- Monitor the quality of subcontractor work to ensure it meets both company standards and project specifications.
- Keep the project team updated on Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
- Ensure subcontractors fully execute their work per the contract and provide both positive and corrective feedback as necessary.
- Coordinate required inspections with local authorities to keep the project moving forward.
- Maintain a daily log of job site activities and document project progress with photos.
- Ensure that all subcontractor deficiencies identified by the project team are corrected promptly.
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor quality and ensure the project stays on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Lead weekly safety meetings to reinforce safety protocols with subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor work against plans for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare a two-week look ahead schedule each week to track subcontractor progress and ensure alignment with the project schedule.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in commercial construction supervision.
- Experience managing 15+ subcontractors and vendors, providing direction, and resolving issues.
- Proficiency with communication tools like cell phones, email, and computer systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings to ensure fieldwork aligns with the project's specifications.
- Physical ability to inspect the job site, including stairs and elevated structures, and to lift more than 50 pounds.
- Availability to work more than 40 hours a week to meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
