Outside Sales / Business Development Specialist

HydrauliCircuit Technology (HCT) is looking for an Outside Sales / Business Development Specialist with a successful background in product application selling and business development. Industry Specialists, Technical Salespeople, and Sales Engineers are encouraged to apply.

This position is focused on working in the field, developing and managing accounts within the U.S.

WE OFFER:

On-the-job training to make you the next industry expert in selling (excavator) auxiliary hydraulic kits to OEM’s of Excavators, Attachments, and Authorized Heavy Equipment Dealers throughout the United States & Canada

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Travel throughout the U.S., approx. 50% in field
  • Effectively prospect, develop and grow new accounts
  • Effectively maintain relationships with, manage, and grow existing accounts
  • Make daily outbound sales calls/sales visits
  • Contribute to achieving or exceeding sales goals and objectives
  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries for quotes and customer service needs
  • Learn/follow the HCT selling system and processes
  • Skillfully demonstrate products and services to customers
  • Determine & validate multi-level application solutions for the customer`s hydraulic kit needs
  • Use CRM to add new companies, contacts, and create quotations
  • Use CRM for prospecting new business follow-ups while gathering & recording strategic information
  • Follow up timely on cold and warm opportunities to further the sales process
  • Set up on-site sales training for new and existing accounts to present the company, products, and services available
  • Professionally solve problems and able to work under pressure
  • Strive for best-in-class customer service and support industry tradeshows

APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Associates or Bachelor (B.A. or B.S.) Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in application selling and business development
  • Have a successful background in outside sales
  • Have a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM and ERP system
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to measure, prospect, and target new accounts
  • Be open to overtime when necessary for deadlines, some day trips, and overnight trips
  • Receive hands-on training at our home office and in the field to learn and better understand our products, customers, industry, etc.
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail with an emphasis on high accuracy
  • Be capable of working under pressure
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Be able to climb a ladder
  • Be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
  • Pass a drug screening and background check

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in "Application Selling" of products that have a wide range of configurations
  • Have technical, mechanical, and engineering background
  • Goal-oriented, with a strong passion to succeed
  • Continued desire to learn and improve
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate ability to achieve and exceed sales goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate good listening and information collection skills better to understand the customers’ needs and pain points, then offer solutions
  • Passionate about selling and finding ways to satisfy customer needs
  • Good networking skills and ability to handle numerous customers
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Be able to multi-task
  • Accountable
