Senior Bookkeeping Accountant

Our client is a well-established remote accounting firm specializing in daily bookkeeping and financial management for multi-unit businesses. We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who can take ownership of the full accounting cycle for multiple clients. What You Will Be Doing:

• Perform daily client bookkeeping tasks, including A/R, A/P, sales, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Complete month-end closing, reporting, and processing for clients.
• Reconcile monthly bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
• Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including petty cash, payroll liabilities, and loans.
• Process and post client payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare financial reports, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations to clients.

Sr. Accountant Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills are required.
• Must have experience with multi-client or multi-unit accounting environments .
• Previous accounting support for trades industries in a multi-client environment (plumbing, electrical, construction, landscaping, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Strong tenure is required. 2+ years per role preferred.
• End-to-end transactional bookkeeping, plus strong financial reporting and analysis abilities.
• Familiarity with billable hours and time-tracking for clients.
• AI and Technology Proficiency: This role requires the regular use of AI‑enabled tools to enhance productivity and support decision‑making. Candidates should demonstrate comfort with learning new software, adapting workflows to incorporate AI assistance, and following company guidelines on ethical and responsible AI use
