Job Description
The Entry Level Pole Hyster safely operates a variety of lift trucks, including pole hysters and reach trucks, to move, store, and organize materials within a clean warehouse environment. This role requires previous forklift driving experience and a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and efficient material handling.
Responsibilities
- Operate a pole hyster and other lift trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Use reach trucks to load, unload, and relocate products to designated storage areas.
- Perform accurate cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and support stock control processes.
- Inspect lift trucks and related equipment before use to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, guidelines, and traffic rules while operating equipment.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to products, equipment, and facility structures.
- Organize and stage materials in assigned locations to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material movements and priorities.
- Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to operate a pole hyster safely and effectively.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Experience using reach trucks for loading, unloading, and material storage.
- Ability to perform accurate cycle counts and support inventory control.
- Strong awareness of safety practices and commitment to safe equipment operation.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced setting.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling and placing materials.
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with standard warehouse procedures and material handling practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean warehouse environment that supports safe and efficient material handling. You will regularly operate equipment such as pole hysters and reach trucks while working around organized storage areas and clearly defined traffic paths. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and teamwork, providing a comfortable and orderly setting for day-to-day operations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dalton, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
